@jeremyrules2 Unethical?? To me, hooking and potentially killing undersized fish in search of a "keeper" is WAY more "unethical." I won't shoot an undersized fish and comply with all fishing regulations. Also, if you think spearfishing is too easy, you've never tried it. Try it out and let me know how easy it is...

That's a good fish-- congratulations! Just be careful and ALWAYS go with a dive knife. It is too easy to become wrapped up in fishing line or rope on the bottom and a knife could save your life... Once you've gotten good with the Tautog, Striped Bass is the next step. Careful-- it's addicting!

@Snowwarrior I go with a surfing rash guard because of the barnacles. With a wet suit, you need weight to stay down due to buoyancy of neoprene.

@wigwamman1 In Rhode Island, I have not heard of harvesting Sea Urchins, though I have seen them in Charlestown. We also don't have true Conch-- we have two types of Whelk, though, which we often call Conch. I have seen them in areas with a high population of Quohogs, which they feed on...
