@feesww I'm not saying cherundolo is fabio cannavaro, but you can't compare cherundolo with bornstein. One is a captain of a bundesliga team it doens't matter if they aren't good and another one is a bench for tigres of the mexican league. As for not not stoppping the wonderful talent of mexican attack he's done it before vs argentinian attack and the spain attack which are much more lethal. So don't tell me he can't stop them because he has stopped bigger teams with better attackers.

@greenman1694 Cherundolo is the captain of a shitty german team.Cherundolo alone couldnt have stopped the wonderful talent that is giovanni,efrain,chicharito and pablo barrera.Cherundolo gets his ass handed to him weekly in the Bundesliga.Hannover 96 is mediocre at best.mexico did not give a shit about that philly friendly game becoz Mexico already stomped them 4-2(should'a been 6-2).

@feesww cherundolo isn't a shitty defender he's the captain of a german team. And with cherundolo in all 90min vs mexico in philadelphia it was 1-1 and the goal didn't even come from his side. It was Jonathan Bornstein's fault for 3 of the 4 goals. With cherundolo in no one scored. He is a good defender, but the bad thing is he is old already 32. And plus with cherundolo giovanni didn't do shit in philadelphia because he didn't have a crap defender like bornstein in front of him.

@Headcheezonium just because you are from SF and cheer for LA does not make you less of a SFsican...back to soccer tho, Mexico is a better team period and players like donovan, howard and that eminem wannabe dempsey need to understand that. with that said all is well in the soccer world...at least in concacaf!!!

@Headcheezonium they actually managed to keep the lead and win. the US may have owned Mexico in recent years (in American soil) but that will more than likely change in the future, especially with Chicharito. Mexico at this point in time is more superior than Team USA...and in terms of Mexican-Americans cheering for Mexico and not the USA in soccer does not make them any less American. This is a soccer team and people are entitled to cheer for anyone.
