The Newsbook is a liquid media in which all languages merge (video, audio, text), and from where to read, view, listen to, share, store, buy and organise newspapers, books and magazines. It was invented by Alfredo Triviño in 2006, and since then he researches alternative ways of communication, entertainment and commerce on mobile devices.

Triviño thrived to keep some of the paradigm and the rationale behind reading in print, but enhancing and tailoring the editorial and commercial propositions, and fragmenting the content into audio, video or text components as they best helped to offer and effective and engaging experience --convinced that visual storytelling has find its best ally in liquid media.

The Newsbook was first introduced in public, to publishers, senior executives and global editors-in-chiefs, at the World Association of Newspaper Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, in June 2007, when Triviño was asked to explain how digital influenced print.
