omg...Dagwood's voice.

Let's all go back to 1965...we'll cruise on down to the neighbourhood ''A&W'' in my big brother's '56 Chevy with the chrome gleaming in the summer sun. In minutes,a cute young ''car-hop'' would arrive to take our order. I'll have the teen burger with a side of onion rings and an ice cold large root beer to wash it all down with...the $2.00 I've saved will easily pay for mine...what are you havin'?

Dagwood sounds alot like Mort

@loverockit Ha ha ha ha ha,Blondie was one of those female comic strip characters that never looked like chopped Liver. Sort of like Daisy Mae and some of the female characters in Lil' Abner.

I remember this commercial! It was very cute.

@loverockit - Damn right she is! The comic strip is eighty years old this year (2010), and she is STILL fine!
-
I think I remember seeing this commercial, though there weren't any A&W's in my area.

I think it was "Dennis the Menace" that promoted the DQ chain in the early 80s.
So, "dejarnettedesigns," are you saying you did the actual animation for this cartoon commercial, the voices or what?
In what year was this commercial originally aired on TV, to promote A&W restaurants?
I also recall "Peanuts" being used to promote Dairy Queen establishments.

I provided the character animation (which listed in the description area for this video). It aired sometime in the mid 90's. I remember seeing the 'Peanuts' characters on Dairy Queen products.
