Walt Disney's final film that he supervised: he died during its production.

This is the TV broadcasted version, so there are scenes cut by the studio and unfortunately there are skips/jumps for which I apologise for: its the freeware that I used that did it. I also apologise for the missing opening, and poor image quality.

Includes:
"Fortuosity" and "What's wrong with that?"

Synopsis:
A young Irish immigrant, John Lawless, lands a job as the butler of an unconventional millionaire, Biddle. His daughter, Cordelia Drexel Biddle, tires of the unusual antics of her father- especially since the nice young men all fear him. Cordelia decides to go to boarding school and finds the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, his family doesn't approve of Biddle, either.

NOTE: I do not own any of the photography/cinematics used in this film, nor any of its original and additional soundtracks.

  • @TZEITEL10 I know he was born in London.Dick Van Dyke was not, that was my point.

  • @TZEITEL10 I was referring to his character...

  • @TZEITEL10 Forgive these malfunctions,i will get there!

  • @TZEITEL10 As i was saying,He was playing Kipps in "Half a sixpence".As he was not available i wonder why they never considered Tony Newley, another east end(of London)born star.Bert is a cockney remember and both of these men came from the right place. I admire Dick Van Dyke and beleive he was a much underused artist but he was not right for the role of Bert.He can sing and dance but ,oh cor blimey, that cockney dialect was painful. Definately not a good choice.

  • @TZEITEL10 As i was saying, playing Kipps in the New York run of "Half a sixpence".As he was not available then they should have considered Tony Newley-he was another east end,of London, born star.

I think anyone who thinks Dick

  • @pattee1984 I read that Tommy was considered for the part,he was an obvious choice really as he is from south east London.I read that he had committments on the stage, playing Kipps on B
