This is an update of a previous video of the tank:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTXDAYfRdiE
This setup included Manzanita driftwood and plants (7 anubias, 1 echinodorus and 1 micrososum). The tank is still cycling. It took 3 weeks for the first nitrite reading to appear.
Setup: 48" x 20" x 20" (125cm x 50cm x 50cm); One canister filter Eheim 2217; Two Hydro sponge filters powered by a Fushion 700 air pump; Two 150W Jager heaters connected to a Finnex temperature controller HC-0810; Aquaticlife fixture with two 54w T5 HO 6,000K lamps; Aquaterra Slimline background; swimming pool filter sand as substrate; Aquatic Fundamentals 75/90 gallon Stand. To see how the tank has evolved, check the update video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW3prz_FtEY

  • The Fusion 700 is very quiet. You can notice that in the video's natural background sound. The boubles make more noise than the pump.
