you're right... but i think it was supposed to be that way. same with beck often choosing to make a few of his notes a little sharp or a little flat. its all up to musical interpretation.

I like your version. The singing is well timed and good. Are you using a tab from the net, or did you learn it by ear, or both? If you got the tab from the net, is it the one that took 2 hours to write? It's the only one I could find...
