Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen - DM's Montreal Beer Reviews [Ep. 1 {4}]

In NYC I got my hands on this Paulaner brew to try and share it with you. I have a special affection with this brewery, since its Hefe-weizen really got me into good beer.


Grading Scale:
1: Undrinkable
2-3: Not enough flavour; does not deserve to be in its style
4-5: Below average; some flavours; drinkable
6: Average, decent beer
7: Above average, pretty good beer; lacks a few aspects still
8: Very good beer; solid performer for its style; a "go-to" beer
9: Very good, much better than others in its style; only a small step from being perfect
10: Amazing, Brilliant, Outstanding! A perfect example of the style! Could also be an absolute favourite.

Great review and good information on how the beer came to be. This was a very tasty beer. If I wwere in Munich I think I could power through a litre or 2!

You gotta love the US Gov warnings. I agree w/Tom, they should put the warnings on the giant macro lagers, maybe that will get more people to drink good beer.

i love this beer. I just had it on tap, and it was even better. (sweeter). but of all the oktoberfeast i have had. the hachor schorr is my favorite. this year i am doing pumpkin beer reviews. next year i plan to do a month long tribute to oktoberfeast.

Yeah, they should only put the warning on the adjunct lagers: Warning if you drink this beer while pregnant you child will grow up and drink crappy beer. Great review, very informative.
