@DarkLordArt I know that, but for it to read his mind and say the words he's thinking it would have to read the signals going to his MOUTH, not his vocal chords. the signals that this device is reading are the ones that go to his vocal chords from his brain. they would only contain information about how loud his voice would be. in order to read what his brain intends to SAY, it would have to read the signals going to his MOUTH, as it's the mouth that forms the words, not the vocal chords.

one problem - when you speak, it's your mouth moving not your vocal cords : /
the voice just controls the volume.. it's your mouth that makes the words
