This 3D medical animation shows the common indications for a cesarean delivery, including dystocia, placenta previa, fetal distress and multiple births. A cesarean section (c-section) surgery to deliver a baby in frank breech (feet first) position is also shown. During the procedure, the surgeon (usually an obstetrician/gynecologist, i.e. ob/gyn) makes an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus in order to deliver the baby. The animation also includes information on what to expect before and after the surgery. See more 3D medical animations from Nucleus Medical Art at http://www.nucleusinc.com/youtube ANCE00177

  • I have just been given a date for C section as my little girl is breech

  • I'm from Brazil, i have 16 years old and am only alive in this moment due to the cesarean. I was going to born in normal birth, but when the obstetrician observed that i was sit and the umbilical cord was suffocating me, in other words, i was going to die, he quickly changed to the surgery which saved me.

  • 0:58 is what happened to me... I wasn't a c-section, I was born dead. They had to cut the cord off of around my throat and do CPR to bring me back to life... if I had've stayed in there any longer, hope would've been lost. That's why I'm a Scorpio and not a Sagittarius xD

  • OH GOD I WAS A C SECTION! MY POOR MUM! DAMN.....I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MUM THANKYOU FOR DOING THIS <3

  • Sometimes a woman needs it for reasons other than selfish reasons. :P

  • I think I bonded well with my son. I never planned my c-section.. I was only 15. My son was a week over due and I never dilated or went through labor. PLUS! My doctor suggested it; He thought it was the right option because my son was too big and inducing labor was a ridiculous idea. Apparently I had contractions, but never once did I feel them. My mom had 5 kids. Vaginal, C-section, Vaginal, C-section, C-section. She bonds with all of us the same. Like, gtfo.

  • i wish i could get all the pains off my wife, i cant see all this.

  • right. all my babies (natural and c-section) were breast-fed within the first hour of their lives. anyone who tries to make a good mother feel bad for choosing a c-section when it was clearly the safer thing to do is judgmental, blind, and foolish. they're blind to their own foolishness cause they're busy looking at everybody else. they need to worry about themselves and their own babies.

  • Then you go into labor. Why is that funny?
