Earth Liberation Front torch urban sprawl

August 1st 2003, a 206-unit condominium in San Diego was destroyed, with a banner left at the scene saying "If you build it, we will burn it", signed "The E.L.F.s are mad", in protest of urban sprawl. The damages totaled $50 million dollars.

Includes the burning of Vail Valley Ski Resort in Colorado, on October 19th 1998, costing $12 million. In a communique to the press, the ELF said:

"Vail, Inc. is already the largest ski operation in North America and now wants to expand even further. The 12 miles of roads and 885 acres of clearcuts will ruin the last, best lynx habitat in the state. Putting profits ahead of Colorado's wildlife will not be tolerated."

Also features SUVs torched in America, the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and Rod Coronado. Rod is an ALF/ELF activist who was charged for the fire at Michigan State University, causing $1.1 million in damages, because of their GMO-engineering.

@renegade1alpha Yes, which is why I think the ELF should have used more eco friendly forms of sabotage. Countries in the Middle East, namely Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan, have large polluters. That does not negate the fact that there are also large polluters in the US and Europe, taking BP oil as a quick example.

I'm not saying I don't agree but how are the ELF pussies? It takes guts to do violent, illegal things for a cause you believe in. As a soldier I think you'd understand that.
