Amnesty International marks the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with the Small Places Tour.

Inspired by Eleanor Roosevelts call for concerted citizen action in her famous human rights have to matter in small places speech exactly 50 years ago, musicians and their fans will raise their voices in song and action in venues, cities, towns, communities, neighborhoods and workplaces around the world.

Through hundreds of concerts we will draw attention to urgent human rights concerns, recruit and engage a new generation of human rights activists and raise much needed funds for Amnesty Internationals work.

A shift from massive cause-orientated dedicated stadium concerts that happen in one place, to events to be held in smaller venues everywhere throughout the globe.

A call to action and a way for musicians of all types and at all stages of their careers to join with Amnesty International in becoming the next generation of human rights activists and communicating the message human rights through their music and performance.

The Tour will emphasize a true grass-roots approach to building membership and increasing awareness for Amnesty Internationals mission and campaigns.

A continuation and expansion of Amnesty Internationals tradition of sustained and remarkable support from the artistic community.
