I made this artistic experimental shortfilm together with my friend and actor Eskild (youtube.com/Exkild). It's nice to live in Norway with all the seasons and the variation of weather. It gives us more opportunities when making films. This time, there was a lot of fog outside, and sine there was a lot of snow, a whole field was covered white. We thought we could take advantage of this and shoot a shortfilm. I used my Canon 5D with my 24-70mm f2.8L lens and my new shoulderrig in some shots (I will show the rig to you in a new video soon!).

When we shot the scenes inside the house, we used some LED lights we bought on the local hardware store called "Clas Ohlson". Link to the lamp: http://www.clasohlson.no/Product/Product.aspx?id=164699907

It was our first try with the LED-lamps and we had short amount of time too shoot, so some of the shots had quite high ISO (Ca ISO 500). We will make more tests with the LED-lights in a new video! :)

I hope you enjoy the video, and don't forget to subscribe if you liked the video! You can also check out my facebook-page at www.facebook.com/AndyaxProductions

  • i like the video, but does it need to be so long?

  • @ChristianHubbard Thanks. We could probably have made it shorter, but I wanted the audience to feel the loneliness and emptiness when he walks around in the big snowy landscape. If we had lived in the early 1900, we would have thought that this film was waaay too short and fast :P

  • at 3.10 is that a steadycam or on rails or something?

  • @Karribu It's actually handheld! I used the smoothcam effect in Final Cut Pro to stabilize it :D

  • How did you prepare for the sound effects? Did you create yourself or are they readymade? Stunning shot!

  • @shanglawt Thanks mate :) The sound effects are primarily from Soundtrack Pro, but I mixed them with EQ and stuff to fit the film better.

  • wow you're getting better and better.

  • I love the color of your borders :)

  • Jeg og en venn dro også ut for å filme uten noen spesiell plan. Filmen ligger på kanalen min. setter pris på om dere sjekker den ut :)

  • Darn cats always mess up my sound too!

  • Awesome as always my man. Got an inspiring set of videos on your page. Just getting into filming as a way of trying to compliment my song writing. Much more fun to DIY yourself a music video. Still working at it but I'll get there. Keep the videos coming.

  • Norway is beautiful. I haven't been there in a few years and this vid is making me want to take a trip back. Oh well, Helsinki will have to do for now :) Cool video, btw.

  • I truly love this video and i really think that it has to be so long because the idea that u r giving me with all this snow and cold is that the time is frozen ... and the lights are there to give a sign of hope :))) sorry i just smoke weed

What kind of shoulder rig did u use? u did a great job with that :)

  • I'll have what he's having!

  • no it's YOUR fault. the cat isn't clickable.
