Do you expect me to say I like war? Soldiers are a way to keep a nation safe, and war can get them killed. Perhaps we could find other ways to keep this nation safe? Meaning I still don't like war.

Excellent. My father was a Veteran & also my ex father in law. My brothers. I remember being in the car with my father always buying the poppies from someone at a stop light. And he always flew his flag. My neighbor, new to the states from China, didn't know it was Veteran's Day or what it stood for. I thought it was rude. Why come to a country and not know it's Holidays and/or history?

I can't get too upset about that, really. I didn't know a lot of Germany's holidays (and they have a couple weird ones) before I got stationed there. As long as he didn't act like "pfft...whatever" i can't be too mad at him.
