  • do you guys actually enjoy listening to this or is it solely for academic purposes? i was introduced to computer aided composition in school, and i've heard the 'illiac suite' among others, but this has no musical merit in my mind...

  • Thanks for this also! I wore the grooves off the LP back in the day! Hiller gave Harry Partch refuge at Urbana for a while, but something didn't work out - not mentioned in Partch's biography as I recall - but Hiller did compose a piece, "For Harry" which was reminiscent of Partch's microtonal composition method and "homemade" musical instruments.
