Remember when House of Leaves blew my mind??

I read this book in two days, did practically nothing else.
Sitting outside to have a smoke, couldn't stop my legs from shaking.
The reflection we see in the The Navidson Record is dark and distorted, but undeniably our own.

I read this book over about 6 months; it's not because I'm not a fast reader. It's because I slowly began to feel like I was in Navidson's shoes, exploring its pages and passages as they changed and shifted and I stepped and moved with them.
When I finished, I wasn't the same person. Not a bad thing, not a good thing. Just...new. I notice things now. There's a layer underneath the world that's constantly humming. It's curious, maybe amazing. It's... uncanny.
What'd you do to your cover?

The cover thing you talked about sounds really interesting! Any way of posting a video of what happened to it? or sending me a pm with the secret? :)

I read the book....could you pleeease tell me whats up with ur cover?

@multiplecats I totally get what you mean, it's taken me 2 months to read, and I'm a viracious reader, but it took me so long because I felt-like you- that I was exploring the book like Navidson explored the house. My favorite book of all time.

@Dingus262 Yeah, I was never really TERRIFIED by this book or anything. It wasn't scary to me like a horror movie, like you said. But it was just...creepy. Like once I got into the more intense scenes of the book, I was more cautious about going into a dark room. haha But yeah, I wouldn't really stay up all night, not being able to sleep because of this book, it was just very psychological and very REAL feeling. Which is what really made the book intense, in my opinion.

honestly, i dont know what everyone is talking about how they "could not sleep" after reading this book. it really wasn't that scary. it more put me in a bad mood than anything else, depressing me the entire time i was reading it.
am i the only one who was affected by the book in this way or did people just get scared over it like one would a horror movie.
it psychologically fucks with you and leaves dread more than anything else.

That same day I saw "Why I'm Tattooed" after I saw this video.
I also watching -laskvakldnalkf KINGDOM HEARTS!!!! [My mouth just dropped and I was anxiously waiting to know if it was ACTUALLY Kingdom Hearts related, then you said it was and JOY ran through my head.]
HAHA! I LOVE you're response to people asking you, "What happens when The Hunger Games becomes uncool! I feel the SAME WAY about my Deathly Hallows tattoo on my wrist.

What really caught my interest in this book is how dark, vivid, confusing, odd, abnormal.
If you like dark books with a twist I would DEFINITELY recommend Child Thief by BROM. I think you will LOVE IT!
By the way is that a Hunger Games tattoo?
