appx. 20% of local crops are heavily damaged from the recent typhoon.
sorry about the wind noise.
probably a good idea to turn your volume down, or up
depending upon your sense of hearing.

the vending machines here are insane!

the rice is japonica, a short- grain variety of rice (Oryza sativa var japonica) which has a sticky texture. we eat and give away all, and buy new seedlings at planting time. part of the rice is fermented and used as fertilizer.

  • @eligarf I don't like those. I always try to start conversations with them and they never want to talk about what I'm interested in. They are polite though. I was curious; how much of your rice to you keep back for household use and how much back for reseeding like pound per acre type of stuff. What kind of rice is it anyway?

    v e n d I n g machines!

if we can figure out a way to prevent these calamities, we will be rich!

its usually harvested with machines now, but if its fallen over too much, or flattened like this, hand harvesting becomes the only option!

we have a nice ocean and mountain view here! come visit!

  • I'm sorry to hear about rice :(( and happy you (and my pumpkings) are fine :-P

I don't know but perhaps in the future we must espect this rapid climatic change and this distructive influence. Perhaps it's near time to think a different way to farm...

  • good to hear. what a beautiful view of that mountain. wow ..... rice is harvested by hand

  • Glad you are ok Eli
