!NO TIPS ON RIDING PLEASE-Read Below!
This is the final part to my lesson and the main reason for me putting the lessons for view. This video is for those who have lost their passion for riding for whatever reason; mine was lost during this section of the lesson due to the death of my horse, Sir Winston.

My frustration shows in this video the most because I was not only feeling the loss of my horse, but my ability to ride. I felt like I had regressed so badly because transitions that were almost seamless on Winston were simply awful on the horse I was riding. I basically hit rock bottom by this time in my lesson.

After reviewing the lesson video, I realized that getting frustrated wasn't worth it and I wasn't willing to give up my passion because of the loss of my beloved horse. This lesson was the turning point for me to get over my frustration of my loss and continue with my love for riding.

Although Winston will never be replaceable and neither will my connection with him in our riding relationship, I am not going to let his death let me give up on my goals for riding. So, to all of you who have a true passion for riding and have quit for some reason, when you are ready and reach the point I did...don't give up! It will still be a hard road to travel, but your dreams are worth fighting for.

  • Sorry about your horse! Your trainer sounds nice tho. Haha my trainer just kinda expects us to do our best and make things perfect if we broke trot shed make us trot and canter no stirrups and fix it!

  • @MySweetLibertyxoxo thanks, she's an awesome trainer. she gives tough love when needed ;)

  • maybe you should practice with your trot till you move on to the canter. but thats probably just me.

  • @horsescanter thanks for your opinion @horsecanter, but if you had read through the thread below this was one of my first rides since my horse had passed away. it wasn't about the transitions so to speak. this was also 3 years ago, so kind of a moot point. :)

  • i also believe i was crying at some point in this lesson. so many things wrong with my riding here, again...not why i uploaded.

  • @RplusM oh i am sorry about commenting and sorry about your horse:( i hope you become a better rider whenever you ride i am sure you will be fine!

  • OMG you rode at southlake!!!!! thats were I used to ride I rode there with this trainer before she left I also rode at sundance no i am at a private barn but omg lol this is really kool :)

  • Well, that means a lot coming from another trainer. She is hard on me, but she's hard on me when I need it. If she'd been any different this particular day, I would have bailed off the horse and given up. A lot of emotion going on during this lesson for me. Really was missing my horse :(

  • Thanks, she really is great.

  • i like the trainer. she seems pretty nice as far as im concerned
