  • Yury Gagarin was the first person in space!

The first person! It the hero of all world!

Armstrong too the hero. The first person on the moon!

I do not understand why you do not recognise that the first person in space was Russian!

  • I think the Americans had to realize that the Russian technology at the time was far superior to the American. The rocket engine was more advanced, the Russian didn't have all those accidents that the American had.

I guess we in the west, are too focused on that Yuri Gagarin was "the first Soviet" in space, rather than first man in space.

In 50 years, or 100 or 200 years, the name Yuri Gagarin will be well known together with Columbus, Marco Polo, and Alan Shepard will be Alan-who?

  • @jabajabamaster Yeah he was the first but look up the Nedelin Disaster.

  • @jabajabamaster Accidents?

  • In your face shepard

  • @jabajabamaster Russian tech at those times was only marginally better (they were passed behind a couple of years later), as for accidents, they had their share too, and more deadly, what happened was that their regime had total disregard for human life so they gambled that Gagarin would come home alive... He did! He is a hero, not the soviet regime. Yes, he will be remembered, as Columbus, Magalhães, Lindbergh, Amundsen, Chuck Yeager and Armstrong...

  • So I suddenly realized that landing on the moon is pretty much fucking pointless. Its not like its helping anything by having a human on the moon. Just a waste of money and a way to make everyone "proud to be an american".

  • @russkiirap-What are you talking about? There ware many books for children and adults that state Yuri was the first in space.

  • @russkiirap Well done!! When he went to space, we all cheered! The Russians are strong, brave men and women and we all have much to learn from you.

  • @jabajabamaster

But the name Neil Armstrong will still be just as remembered as Yuri Gagarin.

  • @aspiringdrummer17 Every country covers up secrets you know not just the soviet government.
