Surface tension of water in microgravity

The Ku band is used for video+audio and data packet transmission from space to ground. Audio communications will use Ku or C band. C band coverage is more robost and hand-off between satellites is nearly seemless as it's a packet relay.
The video playback here was a single stream, so a Ku hand-off would corrupt the stream. They also have to wait for pickup and handshake from the Ku -> Ground connection before resuming.

actually there are lots of problems with microgravity and the body... your digestion system requires gravity to work properly... making digesting food more difficult... eyes also float in eye sockets... and bone density and muscle mass is lost.... just to name a few

Actually it sounded like they lost Ku-band communication, or video downlink capability. The handover they refer to is when the next pocket of comm becomes available, where comm is "handed over" to the next available satellite. They still apparently had audio downlink capabilities since they were still talking to each other.

@BonMotish What? I thought they spent billions on the Internet so I could write THIS?

so thats how people do a pee test , they go into space , pee in a bag , and crash bad on the farmacy
-
that's great but we all want to know - can you blow bubbles?
-
@snelpiller But you lose bone and muscle mass (even with exercise).
-
funny how the body seems to work just fine in zerogravity(or microgravity)

@leptir99 because its a video link from space to earth, its paused while the team on the ground are away or not ready. Listen to the video
I'd rather my tax dollars go towards learning about our world, and how it works, than killing people.

Yes. They turned around and came home directly after that. We also spent billions on the internet so you could write that one sentence.
