its also crueler to not eat the animals already here, then they truly have died for no reason as the meat is thrown away as surplus it is inedible

ive given you a good reason other than taste, there's no indication that increased omnivores will increase the number of animals bred

bottom line is there are reasons other than the taste to eat meat, truthfully i'm not sure you want to as i answered your question and you threw up hypothetical situations

The more people want to eat meat, the more meat is produced, the more methan is produced. And, all the soya for animal food is farmed at the rainforeds wich got cut down. (Mc Donalds is a fan of cutting down the rainforest to plant there soya foor feed there, and only 1% of this soya is human food)

but seriously, Cows produce a LOT of methene which contributes towards global warming, by eating them you can help reduce that -that is a good reason aside from taste to eat meat,

tbh eating UK veal is probably the best thing you could do if you are eating meat (sadly it is expensive) and certainly if you are pro-animal rights, as the veal is from bullocks raised to an age rather than them being slaughtered for tallow near birth
