  • ...cool. What are/is all the jazz on the top/left side of the body? -and your playing seems to be getting a bit of a personal style... Give us sumpin of your own -either solo or create a simple rhythum track and play off it so I (We) can hear YOU. -cheers

  • Don't really know what you mean by 'jazz on the top/left side of the body' :-)

Anyway, you're right my playing is kinda my own styl, I have developed over the years, nothing special - kinda old school & melodic playing.

What you see & hear in this video is just an improvisation - I never play the same solo twice :-) I don't think I'll ever be able to play this one again the same way and the same feeling again :-) And this is what I like - I never know how the thing is going to turn out :-)

  • @makmanlh

To me - the solo is just an extension of the song - it has to be simple, melodic and memorable.

Most importantly, it is the expression of my feelings that I'm just having in that very moment, when recording a song. I try to follow the flow of the song, the rhythm and then I just 'shoot out' the lead whatever comes out of me :-)

This and all the other solos happened exactly the way I have described here.

I have since completely changed my playing style - use only my fingers.

  • @makmanlh

So just a finger picking all the way :-) I have found out, that this way my playing is getting even more personal and discovered couple of interesting techniques that I can use now :-)

I feel I'm more close to the instrument now and can express myself much better.

I have to make some new videos to demonstrate this.

Thanks for your comments - I appreciate this a lot.

    Cheers

  • ...Dude, how many Steinbergers do you have anyway?

  • @popsaka1

I have an original graphite composite Steinberger GL2T GR, that you can see in my other videos and this Hohner G2T - that's pretty much it.

I also own several other lovely guitars - but I must admit this Steiny and Hohner are my favourites :-)

    Thanks for watching.

  • Hohner 'The Jack' Headless Guitar schematics help needed plz find 4 me

  • I have the same shirt and the same guitar. Maybe we are the same person! :D

  • @popsaka1

I have replaced the tone switch that I didn't use anyway with the coil tap switch - with this modification I can get wide array of tones from sprkling clean, nice crunch to a heavy gain. I upgraded the bridge position with Gibson Tony Iommi humbucker. What a great sound ! I have to post some new videos anyway.

    Thanks for your comment !

  • @krmatchah

Damn right ! :-) Well spotted ! How did you find out ?

    Cheers !
