a simple verification of your statement before posting would've done you some good... You are mistaken. "Alone" is from 1987 and peaked at #1 that year too. Heart did have a ballad released in 1985, called "What About Love?", but that didn't peak at #1 on the Hot 100 chart.

This video has nothing to do with when songs are first recorded or released, and everything to do with when they peaked at #1. Each of the songs in this video peaked at #1 in 1987, and this video represents these #1s in chronological order. There's no point in watching this video and posting about when a song was first released, as this video never claimed that each of these songs were released or recorded in 1987...
