This is exactlyyyyyyyy what is happining to my dog, we got him from a shelter a week ago. Ugh I feel so bad I keep feeling like he cant breathe, but we got him antibiotics and cough medicine from the vet. I feel so bad when he does it!

Im glad shes ok ... & WDF with thoes comments below ? all of them adopted a dog from a shelter and they got the cough... smh i adopted my dog 5days ago and its so bad ... im giving him anibiotics the shelter gave me ... they said he only had a cold -_- ..... any tips?

@JaCqieeex3 Let nature run it's coarse. Also, don't go near other dogs because it's contagious (kennel cough)!! I don't know if it can spread to cats though. And if your dog has a runny nose too, you need to continually wipe it so it doesn't build up and make the dog more sick.

@HIM146 yes. That was when we first got her. She's been over it for a long time. It only lasts about 3-4 weeks. You can also get medicine. We used some antibiotic.

oh thank u so so much wel i called were i adopt him an they told me to take him tomoro at 1 hopefully it turns out good poor doggies how inocent huh... well like how much dose it cost thanku so much for ur help i have heard various stories of how when u adopt a dog they seem to catch this an when u take them home it seems to alter

I don't remember the exact cost but it ranged from $30-60.
