When I was a kid I wanted a poster of Clint Eastwood
wearing a pancho from one of his flicks where he smokes cigars
and looks pretty twisted pretty tough I suppose to a seven year old
and then later I had a poster of Carmen Electra in negligee on the inside
of my closet door after my divorce while I finished my bachelors and
later someone stole her—but I NEVER wanted a poster of a guy in a suit—
not at seven or thirty not of any guy spinning his net of empty sloggos—
imagine hope the most abstract non-tangible shit ever heard—no not me—
no politicians on my walls, no overt religious figures, no crucified or martyred cats
filleted and dead but at Wal-Mart seems you can always get some comment out of the place
—the new muse-Wal-Mart—a couple of girls as old as I was when I wanted the Clint poster
were in awe and shock over at the aisles end where theyve got the coin rolls
my daughter and I were looking for so I could cash in the change jars, over a poster of Obama
and I couldnt help but eavesdrop and the one said to the other she HAD to have it but was 3.75—
heres where you have to imagine hope, no? and I asked them if Obama was popular
with kids right now and they said yes and we found the coin rolls
and I got 54 dollars for groceries.

  • Thanks!

  • I like it....very much.

  • Thanks for commenting ft123! Best to you!

  • You got a good point across here in an everyday life situation. I'm sick and tired of people worshipping political, religious and celebrity characters. 5* and fav'd.

  • Yes, and the fact that we are all struggling to get by and this man continues the wars of Bush and this brainwashing business with the youth--imagine if Bush had tried this--it would have been an outrage. Under the big O, it is hip and Kennedy like... bleah.

  • shit that is pretty sad especially for the kids of today. I just cant imagine wanting a poster of Obama. I feel sorry for the kids as they dont have the chance to make up there own opinions.
