i agree, the treatments didn't stop the breakage, protective styling did...i'm getting a lot of shedding now i guess because of winter so i'm going to get it braided for the winter. hopefully i see good growth results when i take them out in maybe feb or march.
thanks Jill, looking forward to your next video...

Hey Jill, try using some Amla powder in your conditioner as a strengthening agent or try some henna treatments monthly because tha is good. The protective styling is excellent so you can leave your hair alone. I have been using it and I do love it. I also use a combination of shea butter and coconut oil along with a whatever you use for twisting your hair. And most importantly, don't forget to trim your ends because I am coming up on my year anniversary and just trimmed my ends this weekend.

@BeautifybyJill If you're looking for a protein treatment you may want to try GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing Conditioner by Aubrey. I like the ingredients in it; it has milk protein, organic aloe which puts moisturizer back in the hair and glycoprotein and horsetail extract . I just wanted to share this info with you.

@ChristinaTypeClassic - Thanks chica! Much love back atcha!

@mzriley10 - Yes, I figured the breakage comes from dryness, friction, or too tight... more than likely it was dryness... because it's the front hairline, it's probably because I wash my face (friction and dryness from the washing). I've been more careful with keeping it moisturized around the edges, but I can't overdo it. Protein is a great strengthen agent, it just takes me a while to find something I really want to try. Thanks!

@mzriley10 - I've been meaning to try castor oil, I have heard good things about it. I plan on purchasing it once my other product is gone. Thanks for watching!
Have you tried avocado, olive oil and honey? I heard avocado is great for breakage and that the olive oil helps to retain the moisture. I just went online and looked up natural conditioner recipes. I haven't tried it but as soon as I go to the grocery store I will be picking one up, I also want to try the mayo and egg conditioner.

@ClosetBeauty01 - I have seen people use avocado for/ in conditioners, but I've never tried it either. I remember my mom doing a mayo conditioner on my hair once when I was little and I hated it! LOL! But that was when I was young, I may be open to trying it again... after some research of course ;-) Let us know how your conditioner turns out for you!

Hey cuz, I really like this hair style on you.
And as far as your hairline thinning, it could be a couple things. Some folks experience as a result of wearing a satan cap. If that's the case you may want to put on a satan scarf instead. And another could be over manipulation. How often were/are you restyling?

@kandiekj100 - Thank you for compliment and I'm glad you're checking a cousin out on the YT! I wear a satin scarf every night and it's not tied in the front. I was styling weekly or twice a week at the most. But I was also wearing the puff which was pulling it back a lot (and tight sometimes). I believe maybe it was the hair ties I was using to push the front back for my puffs. But it's okay, I will grow it back :-)

Hey I've been wearing the similar hair style (it so easy to maintain and redo-I love it as a protective style)! Your hair looks healthy and thick!
Have you tried tea tree oil for your scalp? Also, supposedly onion and garlic is suppose to stimulate hair growth, onions have sulphur which is an active ingredient to hair growth. This information is on YT.

@pennyz2cute - Yes, I like the style too and I get nice compliments... Thanks for your compliments as well! I love tea tree oil!!! And yes I do use it at times. I never heard about putting onion and garlic in the hair or on the scalp (beside sulfus shampoo for dandruff), but I do know that sulfur is an element that makes up 5% of normal hair. Thanks for the tip!!
