This 35mm DOF adapter allows you to get the true shallow Depth of Field film look by attaching 35mm photographic still lenses to various video cameras.

  • Almost has that super 8 look to it.

  • @NIKONGUY1960 Yes it does have a very vintage super 8 look but with vista vision shallow depth of field as the ground glass frame size is 35mm.

  • Hi VidAtlantic. Thanks for the Info.

I bought Canon HFs11, and planning to buy DOF adapter with photographic lens. Which one would you recommend from your products that best suits for taking good shots with HFS11. ***budget matters to me***

I did some research in DOFs. But not sure which one best fits with my cam.

    Please help me.

    Thanks.

  • By far for the look and price the EnCinema 35mm adapter is a great choice for the Canon HF S11, if not the best choice. It is also the smallest and lightest adapter available anywhere.

  • Never mind I found it. $199

  • DUDE!!! How much was this adaptor? I spent $6,000 on a Letus ultimate DOF for my big DVC Pro HD cams. I need the exact same thing you got for your little cam. What is it called and how much? Please....That is a nice and simple adaptor! Nice.

  • Thanks. Makes sense.

One thing though--I'd like to get closer to some of my subjects but the 50mm lens and 35mm lens I use don't allow me to get focused tight shots...will a 24mm or 20mm be better to get closer up on the subject?
