The Lads vs Omega Weapon

Battle Omega and survive his Terra Break without the need of summoning GFs, Invulnerbility, Limit-Breaks, Defend, or even the Item command!

I think you can get a lot more healing with tornado if you make sure magic is maxed out, and don't let spirit up too high. Since Omega Weapon's only magic-damage attacks (meteor and ultima) are weak, it's safe to have low spirit. Not sure, but you might not need any at all.

As for magic, you maybe ought to junction triple to it if it's not maxed out. You can get speed up with haste. It's not as good, but still faster than Omega by a significant amount.

Yes, Zombie halves the damage from all physical attacks.

I've been meaning to do a full-version of this strategy too.. although it's actually a lot harder then how it comes across.

Nice, I decided to play ff8 again, first time in eight years and I can't even beat the ruby dragons before bahaumut. Any advice? and how do you get four abilities?

You need to find a Rosetta Stone. There are three of them throughout the entire game. One of them can be given to you from Jonny's shop in Esthar when you control Zell while the Lunatic Pandora is passing over the city. Just to to the shopping district, select Jonny's shop and you'll be given a Rosetta Stone. This allows one of the GF's to learn Abilityx4.

Hm, You know, I'v beaten Omega weapon several times but I have NEVER thought of the zombie status strategy ...

@Abonisher I know it's a bit late, but here goes: Ruby dragons combine a powerful physical attack with the breath magic attack. You just need high spirit and vitality for them, something you may not need almost anywhere else. Make sure everyone has a spirit and vitality junction, and put shell(spirit) and protect(vitality) on them. Or if you have em, meltdown(vitality) and reflect(spirit) work even better. That should make ruby dragons pathetically easy.

Except I didn't use Beserk but of course I used Renzokuken to get Omega Weapon slain which is different from the Beserk part of this strategy but the original Zombie + Auto-Protect Strategy worked absolutely AMAZINGLY against his Fearsome Terra Break move just like in this video that shows this strategy here, I am truly grateful for this, THANK YOU! Worked like a frickin' charm!! ^_^

OMFG!!! 0_0 I used this strategy pretty much NEARLY EXACTLY how you assembled it and I Junctioned 100 Aero to my Characters Squall, Quistis and Selphie for added insurance of good HP restoration and with the zombie + Auto-protect strategy it took a while as Omega Weapon is well-known to take to defeat but after a while I FINALLY DEFEATED OMEGA WEAPON using my fav characters Selphie, Quistis and Squall, thank you SO MUCH for putting this strategy up!! :D
