  • Major flaw: The insects became resistant to the initial pesticide because any insects that weren't naturally resistant in the first place were killed off, leaving only the resistant insects alive to reproduce and all the offspring were therefore resistant. A better pesticide will only cause the cycle to happen again, and you'll end up with insects that are resistant to yet something else. The only way to break the cycle is to change the way pesticide is used.
