would an 8th scale buggy be good for this, because the xtm xt2e im thinking about getting looks like it has enough ground clearance and has pretty wide width.

maybe slap some maxx paddle tires on it and see if it'll work

any other suggestions on starting chassis?

@rockthecatbox21 I suggest getting an 1/8 truggy instead. Here all unlimited comp cars are truggy based builds with DIY bottom plates and universal joints.

@rockthecatbox21 For a modifed class that'd be a perfect choise. I just bought one myself. For the time being it doesn't look scaler but it performs well.
