S3 - Motherly Ties Glitch (Deus Ex: Human Rev.)

To AVOID this glitch, after speaking to Cassandra and speaking to Detective Chase in the apartment complex (who gives you several other objectives), go directly to the Police Station and look in the lobby. There you will find Chet Wagner. If you do other objectives first, the glitch will occur and you will not be able to meet up with Chet, which ultimately results in what happens here in the video.

Did you tried to not skip the dialogue?

@mattjus10 yeah, the first time I went through it I heard all of the dialogue because I always care for and appreciate the story in games. After I heard everything once and got frustrated with it, I skipped the dialogue and tried asking the questions in different orders to see if that had anything to do with it. I made sure to skip the dialogue while recording this in order to avoid spoilers.

@makareli yeah man, it totally sucks. They already patched some serious load time issues on the PC version, so I hope this bug's patch will not be far behind. I didn't kill everyone at the police station, but I can't find Chet Waggner and no one's in his office. I don't see him dead anywhere either.

im having the same problem. the solution i found was that you have to talk to chet wagner or w.e. his name is at the police station. the problem now that im having is that i cant find him. he is suppose to be in the lobby of the police station but he is nowhere to be found. ive even gone as far as to go on a killing rampage in the police station(because im not friendly with them atm) to see if i can find him but nothing has turned up. if you figure this out send me a message.

@viledecon Thanks, man. I posted this vid in hopes of getting some help. I haven't tried this yet, and I'm gonna try it first thing when I play again later tonight, but but my luck tells me I'm not gonna find Chet at the police station either. I don't know if I'm friendly with the station or not, but i know I got caught hacking and I killed like 6 or 7 guys that stormed in with a few gunshots and a remote explosive. I forgot, is Chet Wagner your friend that works behind the counter?

@viledecon I'll try that. I've incapacitated everyone in the police station (except the people in the lobby thankfully). I usually don't take out people who have a name other than police officer so even though the quest says I'm done I'll try to talk to him. Thanks for the tip.

Exact same problem. The internets say that this game is buggy as crap, even more so on the comp. I'm going to just keep playing seperate quests until Eidos mans up and sends out a patch.

WHERE DOES IT SAY TO TALK TO CHET? lol. I have all 3 responses, but no where do I remember Chet being mentioned, in regards to the entire quest.

i talked to chet before killing him and i have the same glitch on my pc version too. ny solutions yet please?

Chet is not the guy at the front desk. This same thing happened to me and I don't know what to do. I didn't kill anyone in the police station as far as I can remember, I just knocked everyone out.

If you went on a kill crazy rampage at the police station (I did on second run through) chances are you killed Chet (he is the guy at the front desk if I recall)..

If so then this is likely the reason..

I managed to complete this actual quest on my first run through (stealth based minimal kills) without a problem..
