No one can ever accuse Oliver Reed of leading a dull life, he lived it as he wanted and to the full exactly how life should be lived, I bet he had no regrets when he died thats how I want to live, 'up yours to the boring old farts who live life by the book with their boring little lives and look down their noses at people like Oliver, cheers to you Oliver it was never a wasted life, you may have died at 61 years but my god you lived every single one of them to the full, i'll drink to that!

Great role model for all real men in these times of dull politically correctness. Fantastic actor, lover of the prettiest women, boozer extraordinaire. Perfection, really. We salute you Ollie. You'd be glad to know no one ever replaced you.
Cheers, lads.

A larger than life British character, never replaced. If only we had a few more genuine roustabouts with real charm like Ollie Reed. He didn't give a rats arse what anyone thought and we all loved him for it. RIP amigo !

Without a doubt THE greatest actor Britain has ever produced. What an incredible charisma and undeniable screen presence. I honestly think no one could touch him as one of the great names of cinema! The air truly moved around him! Raise your glasses to the great Oliver Reed!

You forgot to mention he played the best werewolf of all time. I don't know which I would be more scared of... a drunk and pissed off Oliver Reed, or the Werewolf.

Sorry beckajf 3 years ago I'm afraid boggle-eyed egotist unfunny talentless knobjock Robbie Williams who sings as though he's got a peg on his nose could not hold a candle to Ollie. Or a match. And no, he doesn't look like him. Go to Specsavers.

He may have aged and died way before his time, but he looked younger than many other people his age at the time of his death, and physically he was still very robust. Most people who live long lives nevertheless tend to become a bit frail in their 40s or 50s, but he was still so strong that he managed to vanquish five sailors at arm-wrestling on the night of his death!

A truly delightful peek into Oliver's world. What a lovely guy, and I agree, he surely lived every moment of his life to the max. So much more satisfying to go out like a huge firework, flare, illuminating everything and then gone, rather than sputtering along like a cheap candle. Reaching retirement and being too sick and weak to enjoy all the stuff you should have spent your life doing. You will NEVER be forgotten Ollie. Only missed and irreplaceable. xx

@beckajf Yes, since Robbie became more of a man not so cute but very good looking. Same eyes and a lot of similar characteristics too.
-
I will envy him forever if only for the shot of him canoodling with Diana Rigg.

Now there was a bloke, god rest him.

As a now 62 year old who once had a drink with Ollie at a pub in the village of Billingshurst, West Sussex, England, may I say that this video sums up the legend best.
RIP Ollie in that free bar in the sky.
