Dungeon Explorer opening theme symphony orchestra music. One of my all time favorite game systems when I was in my teens was definitely the TurboGrafx 16 ( PCエンジン ). One of the best game cards available for the system was called Dungeon Explorer. Dungeon Explorer is a dungeon crawl similar to Gauntlet but with more aspects added such as levels, character customization, and music, spectacular synthesized music. The opening score from the soundtrack was always one of my favorite pieces of game music.
I decided to sit down and hash out the score and arrange it on my studio computer. Once I felt confident I had the score pretty much perfected I went through and orchestrated the piece to replicated what it might sound like if played by a small orchestra. I am really pleased with this remix.
After the orchestral version I added a synthesized version using samples that are more like what would be heard on the original TurboGrafx 16 version.
I hope all of you TG16 / PC-Engine fanboys and girls enjoy this version! Thanks for listening.
