@sweeperistheboss Morrison already got his push. He replaced Benoit as ECW World Champion and feuded with CM Punk for several months, before Punk beat him for the title.
As for Sheamus, the push was a good idea. WWE is lacking for main-event heels in the WORST way. Plus, he seemed to be the one guy who had John Cena's number, beating him TWICE for the title.

I'd assume it was due to Jeff's dad being a big time promoter during the dying days of the territories in the mid 90s and was also a legend at the time so Jeff must have felt he deserved all the pushes he didn't get

Actually Punk did get a few before he debuted in ECW. Not sure about Sheamus.
