They every right and oppurtunity every other Australian has. Most just choose not to use it.
If they choose to live on shithole camps out in the middle of nowhere that is there problem. They also compound there own problem's by doing nothing to change it but whinge, and then when the govt tries to help (ie the intervention) they and people like you complain about that as well.

Cant live in harmony with just one side giving sympathy & empathy without doing anything of substance like agreements.That may be goog for the people giving the sympathy & empathy but no good for the other side.Cant survive off that.sorry.

sandraplumberd - again, sympathy & empathy is alright for the short term bu what about the long term.You cant live on someone elses sympathy & empathy as unfortunatley (but understandably) people get tire of that & begin to resent it.But instead of people getting angry with Aboriginals, they should be angry with successive Aust govt's & Britian for allowing Aboriginal people to remain in limbo.

if the child next door was run over. You wouldnt feel sorry for the mother because you didnt drive the car.
We have to live with the original owners of the country, so you have to have empathy for those you life with. If you have none you should leave their country.

i am indigenous myself and yes the taking of the land was bad and so as was the stolen generations and the rest it truly does make me feel horrible. but if the british didn't invade us guess who would of... the japanese and the indonesians... atleast theres some indigenous people left i mean look what the Japanese would of done. there would of been no one left.
