Also, Parker leads off with a lick( from :37 to :43) that is from a WWII popular song...I can't recall what the name was. It lends credence that maybe Parker liked to catch the listeners ear with something familiar and catchy for the listener. Good jazz improv idea. Too many times we try so hard to create hard, fast, "outside" licks when the listener just wants to hear something nice and pleasing to their ear.
