Ice Auger with Huge SLA Battery for Cordless Drill

To drill holes for ice fishing, I got an adapter to power my auger with a 12v cordless drill. I needed better battery life, so gutted a drill battery to contain wires to a large sealed lead-acid battery. I didn't touch the drill, and can still use it with normal Dewalt batteries. The SLA battery weighs 15 lbs and sits on my ice fishing sled. I have drilled several dozen holes in an outing with good voltage left on the battery when I got home. The wires from the SLA battery feed through the Dewalt battery case into the stock connectors where the Dewalt battery plugs into the drill.
