This wasn`t the first band who had a female death metal singer. A band from Australia called Walsh Street Cop Killers was the first band in the world ever to have a female death metal singer. W.S.C.K started in 1994, a good 6 years before Arch Enemy started doing it. But because W.S.C.K are an Aussie band, they won`t get the credit they deserve for being the first. Usually the Americans or English steal the credit and claim they start all the new trends.

I like Arch Enemy and their singer is cool (girl's power!!!), but I still prefer symphonic metal. We often ear great female singer with amazing voice ( less beasty than Angela...)
