Aye, THAT VIOLIN KILT IT! GREAT JOB!
-
wow, this is nice

Intonation.....play as an ensemble not as four soloists; all four players have different articulation styles.

@monicapyle We played it for my orchestra concert, and actually, I posted that comment when we just started the piece. Looking back we got to about that speed in this video but pulled it back a bit to sound bouncy Irish-folk tune fast, not rushed and tense and unmusical fast. I know he wanted it fast but this just seems to take all the power out of the song.

This is the normal tempo on any Percy Grainger record. It's a fast song and is meant to sound intense.
-
This isn't too fast! It's perfect! If you were to buy a Percy Grainger record and listen to this, this is exactly how it is played. When you're used to hearing it like this, any slower is like a funeral march! these guys are great! and they look so young!

this is a very difficult piece to play.. ive had to play it on violin.. it's tricky but fun
-
Actually, I thought it was too fast. It didn't sound musical, but tense and rushed.
Finally, a decent tempo and people that can play! :D
