Having some fun in the yard with my Heng Long Sherman. Unfortunately it does NOT like deep snow... treads are too narrow to hold it on the snow.

  • Your motor pools condition is realistic, tanks are always breaking! hehehe

What do you mean that the metal gears you ordered for the Pershing do not fit in the housings? Are the bushing holes slightly smaller for the brass ones?

  • @swathdiver the housing does not physically fit. the first time i ordered it i got 2 left sides, they sent me a right and i went to put it in and the new gear boxes are too square like and just wont fit. im assuming they are for a tiger..

  • This is a Mato Mart tank, not Heng Long.

Try adding some fishing weights inside the hull to make it heavier. Like the real Shermans the skinny tracks had trouble in soft terrain. An expediant solution was the "duck bill" end connectors which increased the width of the tracks.

  • @swathdiver hey long time no see Swathdiver. ive left this one completely stock. its very under weight but i might get some africa tracks some day and see how that goes. This is pretty much my last running tank. the panzer's rear idle arm has splip, the pershing has stripped the plastic gears and the metal ones i ordered for it do not fit in the housing and i have sold the rest of my tanks including the 1:9 abrams.

  • Can it go in mud and puddles?

  • @alleegasse123 yes but i would limit it to 1-3cm of water and very fine mud without rocks
