  • Excellent video. I have traveled by train many times before, but if I hadn`t you gave a good look at what it`s like, and that would have made me want to try it. Good job.

  • @blc48183 Thanks, I appreciate that.

  • Can I bring my suitcase to my seat with me?

  • @JackFoster13 I guess it just depends on how big it is. I had a back pack full of snacks with me the whole time.

  • Ok sweet!! Thnx! Now another quick one at the begging you said you can check in your luggage or place it on a shelf? So how does the luggage handling work??

  • @abrahamortega5 I thiink you can check two bags and they'll throw those under the train (not literally but you know what I mean). You can put your carry on on the shelves or if you travel light and don't have bags to check just carry one on.

  • Looks like a nice way to travel.

  • Nice video and all, gives Amtrak a very positive look as it should be given (when the service is good, mind you). Sometimes you have to accept that there'll be some onboard staff that wont be the happiest folks in the world, but 98% of the time you'll have excellent service provided.

  • @abrahamortega5 Checked baggage goes inside the baggage car which is located behind the locomotives on every long distance Amtrak train. Once arriving at your destination your luggage is taken off the train and put inside the station where you'll be able to retrieve it there. I highly suggest bringing your luggage on the train if you are a sleeping car passenger, as you can leave it on the lower level of your car and it is easy to access when need be. If you are going coach, room might be tight.

  • I love looking at everyone's Amtrak videos. Thanks for joing in! Come check mine out when you have time. I've been on that Texas Eagle a couple of times and loved it both times. Did not make a video of it then, however. Boo. Other trips yes but yours brings me memories. Thanks again.
