If you've been working out for a very long time with nothing to show for it, then listen up if you want to pack on button popping slabs of muscle.
You've likely been doing a few key things wrong.
One of these things may be simply not resting enough. And no I don't mean sleep. Although sleep is important.
By rest I mean, stop spending so much time in the gym. And start spending more time *outside* of the gym.
I know that may sound crazy, but if you think about it you'll realize that your muscles grow when you're *not* working out.
Your muscles can't possibly grow WHILE you're working out.
Why?
Simply because the entire muscle building process works like this:
-Lifting weights tears down your mucles.
-Then your body repairs the tears in your muscles, and they grow back bigger and stronger.
That process is called hypertrophy. And the part that makes you bigger is AFTER you tore down your mucles in the gym.
Its kind of like if you fall down and scrape your knee, you have to let your body heal. If you keep picking at the scab it will take longer to heal. And sometimes if you pick to much it will not heal right, and even scar.
Same concept with building muscle.
Once you totally tear up your mucles in the gym, you have to know how much time to wait in order to repair your mucles propperly and let them GROW.
And no, muscle soreness is not a reliable indicator of how much you should rest, or if you should go back to the gym.
If you really want to build muscle you need to know how to overcome the little things that are holding you back.
If you want a genuinely serious, long term program, then I know a few secrets to success that sadly most people will never learn about building muscle.
