What everyone fails to realise is that in actuality both Prince and Michael were both good friends (Michael would not name his child "Prince" for nothing ). Also, remember when Michael Jackson joined James Brown onstage and requested that Prince perform??!!! Check out the video. This is a beautiful video!

Yes people don't know that Mike and Prince are actually cool with each other , but Prince did not want to do any collaboration with Mike . The reason behind that from all the evidence I can gather is creative differences. Mike wanted Prince to do bad as a duet and Prince was like "nah" im good . But yes , they are cool with each other . they only been on stage one time together with james brown and hate to say Michael blew Prince out of the water with his singing

Produces, arranges,engineers and composes all of his own music...that is Prince. Complex arrangements with live Intruments..also Prince. I can't recall Prince ever having a producer! Not even a Qunicy Jones. Predominately self taught musician. MJ was a beast as well.

I wish they had been able to work together. They were and are immensely talented... I also believe that they had a great deal of respect for each other There will only be one Michael Joseph Jackson and there will only be one Prince Rogers Nelson. God Bless them both, such a huge part of the soundtrack of soooo many's lives...

@eritreangurrl Michael Jackson did play instruments. He at least played piano and percussions. He and Randy played percussions on Don't Stop Til You Get Enough and Working Day and Night. Just because he hired musicians to play on his recordings does not mean that he play an instrument. Jackie and Marlon also play instruments. There's no such thing as Joe Jackson children can't play an instrument. Michael was too curious not to learn how to play.
