Its strange - This was always adored on the NS scene. Little did I know that this track I would sing along to dancing in a run down old ballroom (The Empress) in Wigan would become such a popular track in the Noughties! CLASSIC!

It's Carol Kaye. She started as a jazz guitarist in the forties and became a studio musician in Los Angeles in the sixties. She switched to electric bass and became one of the most important players on this instrument. You can hear her on many classic hit records.
