@TheHolySpirit were not crazy were british and we can do it

@jlbaptista Thanks. These people are obviously in denial! Divide that figure by the working population of the UK which I believe is currently about 23 million (you might need to verify that), and you'll get a rough figure representing what the extra day off will cost each and every tax-paying, working man and woman in the country. And don't forget that seeing as this cost will just be added to the amount of DEBT the country already owes, so there will also be interest payable on that amount too!

@ukuk2012ukukuk2012uk That video actually totals up the entire estimated revenue from the entire royal family including all the revenue generated from their land in a year, all of which happens regardless of the Royal Wedding on the 29th April 2011. You are seriously trying to imply that ONE wedding on ONE day will generate an extra £2.9 Billion to cover the EXTRA cost to the economy of that ONE day? You are crazy!

@matthewmttyd you'll save a lot once the royal vermin are exterminated. And you'll having housing for the poor who are now being moved off the streets as part of the royal wedding clean up festivities. Buckingham palace properly divided into apartments could house a few hundred people.

@TheHolySpirit yes I agree. @ukuk2012ukukuk2012uk has little understanding of the impact on his own. He has simply been sold the numbers of greed and for got the loss. The extermination of the British monarch would be a savings.
leave them their heads but the land, jewels, art, palaces and all the other ill-gotten wealth would better serve the public in public hands. there's no reason the british public should be obliged to subsidize this debauched anachronism.
besides, how much tourism would queen camigula parker bowels attract? she's hardly a diana, queen of hearts.

@mispistoleros I would agree to that. They can keep their heads but return everything else. Thanks for the suggestion.

What most people in the UK DON'T know is that the extra holiday that everyone is so excited about (rather than the wedding itself) will actually cost the UK economy between £1.2 and £6 BILLION. Who says so? The TUC (Trades Union Congress), Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and The CBI (Confederation of British Industry)

@TheHolySpirit rock on brother ... off with their heads. Thats 6 billion in our money. P.S. for some reason your message was marked as spam. I corrected that. My apologies in advance for whomever marked your message as spam. And thank you for providing the figures. It's very sobering to know the numbers.
