Hi guys, wow! It's been so long that finishing and uploading a video feels foreign. Seriously, nearly 5 months. I've had so much going on in my life lately and I've really started getting my priorities in order (to an extent) but I'm still slowly trying to find that perfect balance between school and everything else, which is why I've been so absent. I hope in the future I won't disappear for that long again :)

And also, I'm about to reach 5,000 subscribers. That is unbelievable to me, and you are the greatest, honestly :')))

ABOUT THE VIDEO:
I started this a couple of months ago. I originally planned to make this solely "the women of Game of Thrones and how they are affected by men," but then I added in Mirri Maz Duur and so that isn't exactly it anymore.

The women of Game of Thrones are constantly beaten, raped, verbally abused, looked down upon and told they are nothing. They struggle in a patriarchal world where they are the lesser to everyone including themselves. Yet their hope, love, hate, resilience, kindness, intelligence, courage, character, morals and strength prove time after time that they are just as strong if not stronger than their male 'superiors.' They are so fascinatingly complex and while GoT may not be women "friendly," the writing, storylines and true chances given to be their own person is enough for me to see it as one of the most women "friendly" shows in all honesty. These women do not sit on the sidelines or let anything hold them down for too long.

This is one of the reasons I included Cersei at least a little bit - she has made some bad decisions and can be extremely intrusive/cruel, but there are so many moments when you see her kindness come through and for that time you just.. pity her. She is a queen who is in love with her brother, and her husband doesn't even know his "kids" are not his, but in fact his wife's brother's. If that's not complex, I don't know what is.

I really love this! I just wish you would have included more of Cersei. She is just as much being oppressed by her male "superiors" like all the other female characters, if not even a bit more.

@MissLalwen Thank you! No worries because I agree with you. I definitely would have included her more except Cersei is so strong and powerful (relatively) and isn't one to show emotion (not often, at least) so there wasn't nearly as much footage as any of the other characters, and I had to go based on what fit the lyrics and what I could parallel with other characters. Hopefully next time!

UGH, that daenerys/ sansa parallel at the beginning worked so well with the lyrics. already knew it would be magnificent. and omg - i love how you zoomed in and let it fade into the clip (like at 0.31-0.32) and that chin-touch parallel, that face slap parallel, that kiss parallel and omg the part with 'promises': that damn witch. never thought this song would work with GoT but hell yeah it sure does. also, why am i writing so much? i blame thai rice noodles. (snorted at the end with *2012 )
