@Jaran912 In the United States, you either got a manual transmission (which had the highest power 6 port) or you got the automatic, which got the low end 4 port. A few years later they started putting the 6 port into the automatics. But with the lowered redline, they still never matched up to the manual transmissions.

@tyrannical yeah the lower redline was purely to save the reliability of the tranny though not many auto trannys can handle 9k plus rpm shifts at least stock ones
