Angélique Bouchard Collins, usually known as simply Angélique, was a villainess on the TV Gothic horror-soap opera Dark Shadows. She is primarily portrayed as a powerful witch driven by her vacillating love and hatred for the series' eventual protagonist, Barnabas Collins.
The character was played by Lara Parker, and appeared within several storylines of the series which originally aired from June 1966 through April 1971. Angélique was originally introduced to explain how Barnabas Collins became a vampire, but she proved popular enough in her own right to make many return appearances.
The song "Her Black Wings" is by the band Danzig, and is on their album Danzig II: Lucifuge.
Danzig is an American heavy metal band, formed in 1987 in Lodi, New Jersey. The band serves as a musical outlet for the singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig. Danzig can be seen as the third stage in Glenn Danzig's musical career, preceded by the horror punk bands The Misfits and Samhain. They primarily play in a bluesy heavy metal style that is largely influenced by the early sound of Black Sabbath.

Now - - - as I was a small child when all this originally aired, I remember being too afraid to watch DS... except when they were doing the Dream Curse.
Then, the plot was so good, a frightened 8 year old could not pass it up. When I recently rented the Dream Curse episodes on DVD, I could easily recall my fascination with that great plot. PLEASE DO A DREAM CURSE MIX!!

@makamson1 I've considered that idea! I have several songs in mind. Finding time to make fan music videos is difficult anymore, since projects around the house can be quite time consuming. If and when I make a dream curse mix video, I'll send it to you. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks KalistiFive! When I started watching Dark Shadows on the Sci-Fi channel, I thought the song would fit the character. I'm glad you agree! If I ever have enough time I hope to make more Dark Shadows fan music videos using some of my favorite rock and metal songs!
