it's just one of my favs, thank you John,
Martha

Martha and the V's did have Smokey and some other talented writers too, notably Holland-Dozier-Holland - when they left Motown, it was only a matter of time before they would fade into obscurity-
-

I love this song! It's happy, upbeat, and positive. You'll never find any of those qualities in a song today.

This Is Interesting,
Good ONE John.

I think that Martha and the V's could have lasted as long as the Supremes did, if Berry Gordy would have been behind them-

I was thinking that it was Smokey who used to manage the groups a lot, but they had so many people on the books all talented too that it must have been a problem to record them all, they had to be booked in for a session, still at least Martha & The Vandellas is still making appearances, that's nice to know. It hadn't occurred to me about displaying who the pictures were of, until I saw this video. I suppose it helps the none specialist to identify who the pics depict. Good idea.
Great song too

They've almost all come from my collection of the 1960's, as I thought that many of the lesser-known artists depicted were forgotten today. The family thing is not seen today is it? but Motown was certainly like a big family in those times, maybe because Berry Gordy came from a big family, I can think of one big (once Motown) family that's been in the news lately, and that's Michael Jackson and "The Jackson 5" etc
Thanks to everybody who commented on this song, much appreciated JOHN
