A fairly easy-to-play piece by the American organist David German. Again, you can hear the Chamade (Spanish trumpet) stop.

  • One of my favorite pieces. I would've loved to heard you add some stops at the F# section! That mixture has a very prominent Tierce in it. Do you not have any Pedal stops on or is the Pedal not located on the far left?

  • You're right, I could have added some more towards the end. The stops on the far left are the ones for the main organ, where I only used the Chamade, which is one of the extra stops located above the upper maunal. The two rows to the right of it are the pedal stops, as you can see I used quite a few of them, including the Prinzipalbass 32 ft.

  • I find it awesomely fascinating you can play the f sharp section so fast

  • A really impressive piece, though you know I am not a great fan of the spanish trumpets. But lively and festive indeed. Maybe a tiny little bit in a rush, I think. After this is about trumpets, it would be difficult to play it in that speed, you would lack the air, and your fingers would get twisted, believe me :-))

  • My digital organ also has the Great on the left and the Swell and positive on the right.

  • fantastic performance of this piece, I played this at my last concert, the only thing I would say is slow it down and add more swell reeds, it needs that reedyness on the swell on the section before you go to F#, that's my opinions anyway.

  • Interesting. It's the reverse of most organs I've played. I think just about all the organs I've played have the Swell and Pedal stops on the left and the Great on the right.
